Celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli is making waves with the opening of her new venture, Clara, in the heart of the Upper West Side.

The Queens Night Market is back, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new season of global flavors.

We also have an important recall alert from Frito-Lay affecting some Tostitos tortilla chips in NY.

Plus, an exclusive pop-up from the world’s top restaurant, featuring an extraordinary dining experience and an immersive film series.

Three NYC Restaurants Make Food & Wine’s Best in the U.S. List

The Musket Room in Nolita came in strong at number three.

Known for its Michelin star and globally inspired tasting menu, The Musket Room offers both omnivorous and vegan options for $125.

Chefs Mary Attea and Camari Mick bring personal heritage and travel influences to every plate.

Penny, an East Village favorite, also made the list for its standout dining experience.

Upstate, the historic Stissing House in Pine Plains earned a spot for its rustic charm and culinary excellence.

Originally built in 1782, Stissing House continues to impress as both a destination and a neighborhood gem.

Other restaurants on the national list include Burdell in Oakland, Canlis in Seattle, and Emeril’s in New Orleans.

But it’s clear that New York continues to lead when it comes to diverse, high-level dining.

Alex Guarnaschelli Opens Clara at the New-York Historical Society

170 Central Park W

Celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli has opened a new restaurant on the Upper West Side called Clara.

Located inside the newly rebranded New-York Historical, Clara officially opened on April 1.

It’s her first New York restaurant opening in over a decade.

Clara is operated in partnership with Great Performances, the hospitality group behind venues like Dizzy’s Club and the Brooklyn Museum Café.

Guarnaschelli said she’s excited to work with Great Performances and loves the area’s historic charm.

The menu leans heavily on greenmarket ingredients and seasonal produce.

Dishes include Parker House rolls, asparagus mimosa, and pea and mint ravioli with pecorino.

Clara is stationed in the museum’s lobby. With this opening, Guarnaschelli returns to the city’s dining spotlight in a venue full of history and elegance.

Queens Night Market Returns for Its 10th Anniversary Season

The Queens Night Market is back for its milestone 10th year, kicking off with a fresh lineup of global eats and community spirit.

Founder John Wang confirmed that the market’s beloved $5/$6 price cap will remain in place for the 2025 season.

That’s thanks to 84% of vendors agreeing to stick to the cap, even as operational costs rise.

The season officially begins on April 26 at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

Two ticketed preview nights are scheduled for April 12 and April 19 for those eager to get a first taste.

Each Saturday through the end of October, around 75 vendors will serve dishes from around the world.

The market has become a cultural staple, offering everything from Nepalese momos to Dominican chimichurri sandwiches.

With new faces joining longtime favorites, this season promises more flavor, community, and celebration.

Frito-Lay Issues Recall for Some Tostitos Tortilla Chips

Who doesn’t love chips & salsa though

The recall was prompted by potential contamination with nacho cheese-flavored chips that contain undeclared milk allergens.

This presents a risk to individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities.

They were sold beginning March 7, 2025, and bear a “guaranteed fresh” date of May 20, 2025.

The company has confirmed that fewer than 1,300 bags are affected by the recall.

Consumers who have purchased the affected product are advised not to consume it and Frito-Lay is offering refunds or replacements for those who return the product.

If you have a milk allergy, it's best to dispose of the recalled chips or contact Frito-Lay for more information.

While the affected chips were not distributed in New York, if you have traveled to or have family in any of the following 13 states who have milk allergies, it is important to be cautious and check for any potential exposure.

The states include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
